Description

I have just begun to use and test the FRSKY Android Dashboard. I would like to use this application as the "front end" to another Android application that implements a "GPS Triangle Racing" function.

Basically this:

FRSKY Android Dashboard ===> Does all bluetooth, frame decode, sensor hub decode ===> Presents sensor hub data updates
GPS Triangle Racing =========> Receives sensor hub updated info (GPS, altitude at minimum) ======> Activity screen

The GPS Triangle Racing is for R/C sailplanes to set a "virtual course" for racing (using GPS coordinates). The application will display the currenet postition of the sailplane vs the course, anounce when to turn, keep track of speed, etc.

I have FRSKY Tx module, telemetry receiver, Sensor Hub, GSP sensor, altimeter sensor. I have downloaded and used the FRSKY dashboard and verified that it works with my bluetooth hardware.

What I request is a way to use FRSKY Android Dashboard to feed updated GPS, Altitude from sensor hub to another application, which will be written by me.

Should be doable, plan is for all channels to broadcast, i guess exposing the broadcasts will be enough?

Yes, that should work. I am a newbie at Android app development, so if you could provide a bit of guidance for how I can access the broadcast? That would be very helpful to me.

BTW: I am using "Basic4Android" for my app development because it seems easier to use and learn than Java and Eclipse .....

I really appreciate the work you have put into this app, and I hope it is OK that I leverage your work into another application.

Newbie myself, but i think this should be doable.
However! Full hub support is not yet in. We will detail how to access the broadcasts when we know how they will be implemented.

When you tested the app. Did you test 1.1.1 from market, or 2.0beta from here? I would like to get 2.0beta onto market, but work has prevented me from testing it.
